In September 2001, five friends made a bicycle trip from Best in The Netherlands to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. It became a fascinating adventure, the journey of their lives. They enjoyed the sporting challenge, the beautiful landscapes and the historic environment that they cycled through every day. They also enjoyed the evenings when, at the table, with a glass of wine, many surprising, fascinating, sometimes also tragic or moving stories were revealed.
