On Scene

On Scene offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at sex club Club de Villa in Beekbergen, with images captured over four years by Imca Schoots. Like a voyeur, she observed the spectacle in this exclusive private club from the wings with her camera. It is a bubble where everyone who steps inside plays their own role, seeking and finding each other in an experience that is, ultimately, fleeting.

Imca documented her personal perception of the processes unfolding there—a world still veiled in a heavy taboo. Without prejudice or stigmatization of prostitution, she explored the intrinsic motivations of the women, the guests, and her own drive to reveal this scene.

Voyeuristic elements in the design of the book pique curiosity and invite readers to peek and be surprised by a fold-out ‘centerfold.’ All of this is elegantly wrapped in a silk-screened, luxurious soft-touch cover.
