Erik Andriesse (1957-1993) is best known for his paintings and drawings of flowers, skulls and skeletons of animals. At the age of fifteen he caused a sensation with his first gallery exhibition. His explosive way of painting and drawing was inspired by graffiti and the young German savages of the eighties.

In what turned out to be his last year of life, he made several series of ceramics at the European Ceramic Work Centre in Den Bosch (NL). These bowls and vases of often generous proportions are closely related to his drawings and paintings. This unknown work by Andriesse now appears for the first time in a book.
